Medisch administratief medewerker

About this programme

Medisch administratief medewerker (medical administrative assistant) is the first step of the modular medical-administrative route and consists of two examined modules: medical secretarial practice and medical terminology. You learn to run the administration of a practice or department — records, appointment schedules, referrals and correspondence — and you master the medical vocabulary so that you understand and process letters and reports correctly. From here you can progress to step 2 (outpatient clinic assistant) and step 3 (medical secretary). Every module earns a certificate, and the diploma is registered in the LOMAS register.
