About this programme

Assistente polikliniek (outpatient clinic assistant) is the second step of the modular medical-administrative route and builds on step 1. Alongside medical secretarial practice and medical terminology, you take the medical foundations module, which covers the essentials of anatomy and physiology. That helps you understand what referrals, results and reports actually say, and lets you work more independently in an outpatient clinic: patient flow and scheduling, record keeping, and the administration around examinations. Every module earns a certificate, and the diploma is registered in the LOMAS register.

Who is this for?

This programme is intended for:

• Students who have completed step 1 of the route
• Administrative staff in a hospital or outpatient clinic
• Doctor's assistants adding to their administrative knowledge
• Experienced staff who only need the missing module

• Work independently in outpatient clinic administration
• Understand the essentials of anatomy and physiology
• Apply medical terminology in records and correspondence
• Organise patient flow and schedules efficiently

Entry requirements
